There are various ways to move around Genoa using Public Transport.

City buses, Lifts and Funiculars

Moving by bus The service is run by AMT and ticket offices are located in via Bobbio 250r, via D’Annunzio 8, via Reti 15. Tickets are sold at news-stands, at tobacconists’ and in many other shops. The standard fare is € 1,20: with a single standard ticket passengers can also travel through the town by railway, for 90 min after stamping the ticket. There is also a 24h ticket (€ 3,50) which allows to travel in the whole city.

A booklet of discount tickets, as well as weekly, monthly and yearly cards are available so that it is possible to save money on the price of public transport.

The Funicolar to Righi AMT also runs other services such as lifts and funiculars to go from the city centre up to the panoramic hills just in a few minutes.

Navebus

By ship like on bus NaveBus is the new boat service, run by Amt, which links Pegli to Caricamento and allows to reach the city centre in about 30 minutes. NaveBus can offer the possibility to discover the city from a different point of view, from the sea, taking the advantage to avoid the traffic and travel in a comfortable and easy way.

Underground

The "Brin" metro station Genoa has also:

an underground from De Ferrari to Certosa;
a bus service Volabus, connecting the airport to the central FS Principe railway station;
the Drinbus, call on-demand service (free number 800 085302);
